The Stadio San Paolo is located in the Fuorigrotta district of the Italian city of Naples. The stadium is home to football club Napoli and is the third largest stadium in Italy, only San Siro and Stadio Olimpico are larger. The construction of the Stadio San Paolo was completed in 1959, but in 1989 the stadium was completely renovated for the 1990 World Cup. The stadium is best known for the match between Italy and Argentina that took place at this World Cup. Maradona, then Napoli player, scored the winning penalty in this match.
